Many drivers confuse GST credits with fuel tax credits. They are not the same.
GST credits
- These apply when:
- GST was included in the expense price
- You have a valid tax invoice
- The expense is business-related (or business portion)
Fuel tax credits
This is a separate system and eligibility depends on circumstances and use type. Not every rideshare driver qualifies.
